that’s because the spider is in a leap toward-you sort of positioning on the screen…
…whereas, the snake is pointed elsewhere, as if to say, “yeah, i’m terrifying and if i scare the shit out of you, it’s an added bonus… but, it’s your friend next to you that i plan to devour with my pointy fangs and enormous gaping mouth. hiss hiss.”
